As Tamil Nadu expands its FDI and India strengthens its global partnerships on sustainability, RSB was contracted to enable TPI Composites Inc, an American wind blade manufacturing company to build their first facility in the state.
TPI’s long term commitment to decarbonize and electrify the world through innovative solutions dates back 50 years and their expansion to the South Indian market was a strategic step to that end.
TPI Composites Inc. chartered RSB to compose architectural plans for a windmill blade production facility, a space that facilitated the uninterrupted creation of these windmill components.
The use of large industrial cranes and heavy equipment required efficient use of space for easy mobility in building these units that are designed to be exported and assembled abroad. Because we adhered to stringent, international standards in designing this facility, this structure earned the much-coveted Foreign Standard Certification.
Design Highlights:
Temperature control environment for entire facilities
Integrate all facilities vacuum, air, water, HVAC, electrical , etc
Multiple crane in all bays
2.4 KM Precast trenches inside to carry all the utility services with coverslab to withstand a load 10T/sqm
BMS System to monitor temperature influenced outside while long blade moving outside
Hazardous storage and its fire and blast proof requirements
Paint shops and large paint booths
AHU Placed in ridge space to make Air conditioning effective in the middle.
Precise infrastructure road development for transportation of blade
